Groundbreaking Held for Sky Mazda of Odessa

ODESSA, TX (KWES) -

Sky Mazda of Odessa celebrated a new addition on Friday.

They broke ground for a new franchise location.

It's something that's been in the works for three years.

The 8,500 square foot dealership will be on the corner of 52nd and Tanglewood.

The President of Sky Mazda told NewsWest 9 what the new location will bring to Odessa.

"Well what it's going to give the community. Every time we do a project like this, we always add jobs for one thing and our compensation plans are really strong with the company. We also give the community full service and parts for existing Mazda owners and remember we can still serve west Texas and eastern New Mexico with this location," said Chris Robin, President of Sky Mazda.

The new building will feature a workout facility with showers for employees.

Construction is expected to be completed by March of 2016.

Until then, Sky Mazda will continue to service the community at its temporary location on Business 20.
