Truck Driver Injured in Highway 349 Crash

One man was taken to the hospital following an accident on Friday.

DPS Troopers tell NewsWest 9, a box truck being driven by Michael Nuner was traveling southbound on Highway 349 when he failed to drive in a single lane, crossed an improved shoulder and hit the back of a car hauler that was parked on the shoulder.

As a result of the collision, the box truck came to rest on its right side and was completely burned.

The car hauler was damaged as a result of the accident but the driver wasn't injured.

Nuner was taken to Midland Memorial Hospital with incapacitating injuries.

Authorities say Nuner was cited for failing to drive in a single lane.
