ODESSA, TX (KWES) - Two DPS Troopers, who were shot during a deadly shooting earlier this month, have been released from the hospital.
Rhonda Lewallen, Public Relations Director with Medical Center Hospital, tells NewsWest 9, DPS Troopers Chad Matlock and Michael Thomas have been released from the hospital.
Earlier this month, four DPS Troopers were assisting Texas Rangers and the Ward County Sheriff's Office in locating Roger Dean Shull, 24, for aggravated assault.
Authorities reported to NewsWest 9, Shull was found at the Phillips 66 gas station near the intersection of 42nd Street and Andrews Highway on August 11.
That's when, according to a preliminary investigation, there was an exchange of gunfire between Shull and DPS Troopers.
DPS Troopers announced later in the day that Shull was killed on the scene.
