Residents in Artesia and Lovington are being asked for their feedback on possible improvements to Highway 82.
The New Mexico Department of Transportation will be holding public meetings in both cities next week to talk about the different ways they can improve safety on that road.
Officials will also be presenting cost estimates, right-of-way needs and drainage improvements to the area.
The meeting in Artesia will be held next Tuesday night at the Central Valley Electric Cooperative on North 13th Street.
Residents in Lovington are invited to the public meeting on Wednesday night at the Lea County Museum Town Hall.
