Crestview Baptist Gives Away School Supplies

MIDLAND, TX (KWES) -

Crestview Baptist and Buckner Children and Family Services were busy giving away school supplies Saturday.

The back-to-school-bash will benefit the students within the Buckner system.

About 150 backpacks full of school supplies were given out Saturday.

Kids could also enjoy their day with games and bounce houses.

“This is just a great opportunity for everyone to come together, have time with other families that are going through the same things,” said Gift Officer of Buckner Children and Family Services Myndi Easter. “We're just loving on and taking care of and we're going to supply them with their uniforms, new shoes, and school supplies to get ready for a new school year."

In addition to school supplies, uniforms and shoes were also given out. A couple of months ago Buckner in the Permian Basin held a drive that collected shoes for the kids.
