The United Way of Odessa kicked off their 2015 campaign on Thursday morning.
Executive Director Tom Pursel announced that the group is hoping to raise $2.5 million dollars between now and November 19.
Mayor David Turner and State Representative Brooks Landgraf were also there for the event.
The group's first fundraising event is already underway at the Big Daddy's over on 42nd Street.
All of the proceeds made before 9 p.m. will be given to the United Way.
