Two People Arrested Following Traffic Stop in Odessa

ODESSA, TX (KWES) - Two people are behind bars following an evening traffic stop on Tuesday in Odessa.

Odessa Police tell NewsWest 9, they saw a white 1995 Kia Sportage traveling southbound in the 400 block of Lindy with the front passenger not wearing a seat belt.

Police say a traffic stop was conducted and the driver was identified as Donnie Williams, 59, and the passenger was identified as Rose Washington, 61.

According to the report, Williams was visibly nervous and was asked to step out of the vehicle.

That's when, police say, they found a crack pipe in his pocket along with an extra crack pipe filter.

Officers also found another crack pipe in the center console of the vehicle and cocaine was found on both the driver's seat and front passenger seat.

Washington and Williams were both arrested and charged with possession of cocaine.

Both are currently behind bars at the Ector County Law Enforcement Center.
