BIG SPRING, TX (KWES) - The Big Spring Independent School District has met the standards set by the Texas Education Agency.
On Friday morning, the TEA released their 2015 accountability report and Big Spring ISD "met standard" for the first time since 2010.
School officials say, "we expect the improvement in our Accountability Report status will result in a change in the district's accreditation rating from Accredited Probation to fully "Accredited."
In a press release to NewsWest 9, school officials say the "met standard" designation for the district is an indicator that the collective growth of our students, at all levels, is significant.
