Two Arrested Following Burglary Call in Odessa

Two people are behind bars following a burglary call in Odessa on Wednesday evening. Odessa Police tell NewsWest 9, they were called out to the Cash America Pawn Store in the 1000 block of North County Road West in reference to a possible burglary.

ODESSA, TX (KWES) - Two people are behind bars following a burglary call in Odessa on Wednesday evening.

Odessa Police tell NewsWest 9, they were called out to the Cash America Pawn Store in the 1000 block of North County Road West in reference to a possible burglary.

When officers arrived, they made contact with a male subject matching a description of the suspect. After initially giving a false name and date of birth to police, he was later identified as Sean Orton, 30.

An investigation revealed that Orton had a felony warrant out of New Mexico for burglary.

Police say they also made contact with a female subject, Maria Badgett, 24, who was found to be in possession of methamphetamine as well as several documents with different names. Those items included checks, credit cards and account numbers that didn't belong to her.
