An ongoing project on Highway 349 in Midland County is having trouble with motorists ignoring a temporary signal and driving on a section of road that isn’t ready to be used.
Driving on a surface prematurely can damage the work that has been done and forces the contractor to redo the work. This only prolongs the project and drives up costs.
Motorists are reminded that they are required by law to obey any warning signs, signals and flaggers they encounter in work zones.
