Teen Arrested For Evading in Odessa

ODESSA, TX (KWES) -

An Odessa teen is behind bars on several charges following late night disturbance on Monday.

Odessa Police tell NewsWest 9, they were called out to the 3200 block of West 16th Street in reference to the disturbance where several male subjects were fighting.

When officers arrived, officers made contact with one of the parties, who was later identified as Daniel Enriquez, 17.

Police say as they approached Enriquez, he immediately began running northbound on Linda Avenue and eastbound through an alley.

Enriquez was later caught in the 3100 block of West 17th Street.

An investigation revealed Enriquez had been driving a maroon GMC 1500 truck that was previously reported stolen.

Enriquez has been arrested and charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and evading arrest or detention.
