Big Spring Police Arrest Burglary Suspect

BIG SPRING, TX (KWES) - One man is behind bars in connection with a burglary at a Big Spring dentist office.

Big Spring Police tell NewsWest 9, they were investigating the burglary at 701 S. Johnson that occurred on Friday.

Police say an investigation led detectives to obtain a search warrant for 1100 Sycamore and a resident at the home was identified as Corey Hoffpauir, 39, of Big Spring.

Prior to the execution of the search warrant, Hoffpauir was arrested for unrelated warrants at his home.

After the search warrant was served, detectives found evidence of the burglary that occurred at the dentist's office as well as evidence from a previous burglary of Inspirations Flowers on South Scurry.

Hoffpauir has been charged with two counts of burglary of a building.

Police say the investigation is ongoing and more charges could be filed in the future.

Hoffpauir is behind bars at the Howard County Detention Center.
