52-year-old Mark Alan Gillen

Odessa Police arrested Gillen on 8-2-15 at approximately 1956 hours for Possession of Methamphetamine "1st Degree Felony" and Tampering with Physical Evidence "3rd Degree Felony".  Officers observed a white Chevrolet truck traveling in the 1500 block of East 2nd Street with black covers over the tail lamps and had no red rear reflectors.

A traffic stop was conducted on the listed vehicle and the driver was identified as Gillen, who was extremely nervous and shaking. Officers observed a Pace Picante jar in the center console filled with a brownish liquid that smelled like alcohol. Officers removed the jar and observed a crystal like substance in the jar with alcohol.

Officers tested the crystal like substance and it tested positive for methamphetamine. Investigation revealed that Gillen attempted to destroy or conceal a quantity of methamphetamine by adding alcohol in attempt to impair its availability as evidence in the investigation.

The container with alcohol and methamphetamine mixture weighed approximately 289 grams. Based on the facts and circumstances presented during the investigation, Gillen was charged and arrested accordingly and transported to the Ector County Law Enforcement Center.

55-year-old Abelardo Reyna

Odessa Police arrested Reyna on 7-31-15 at approximately 1700 hours for Fail to Comply with Registration Requirements, a 3rd Degree Felony. On 6-17-15, Unites States Border Patrol detained a male subject, identified as Reyna. Investigation revealed that Reyna was a registered sex offender and was convicted of Burglary of a Habitation with Intent to Commit Rape.

Reyna advised U.S. Border patrol that he lived in the city limits of Odessa. Further investigation revealed that Reyna had been living Odessa since 7-14-14. Reyna never reported his address or employment to the Odessa Police Department within 7 days of moving. Article 62 of the Code of Criminal Procedures requires sex offenders to report their address within 7 days.

Based on the facts and circumstances presented during the investigation, detectives obtained a warrant for Reyna, for Fail to Comply with Registration Requirements "3rd Degree Felony". On 7-31-15, OPD detectives located Reyna in the 2600 block of Faudree and he was charged and arrested accordingly.

45-year-old Mario Antonio Aguilar

Odessa Police arrested Aguilar on 8-2-15 at approximately 0129 hours for Fraudulent Use or Possession of Identifying Information "State Jail Felony" and Driving While Intoxicated > 0.15 "Class A Misdemeanor". Officers observed a blue 2007 Honda Accord traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes of the 1500 block of East 8th Street.

A traffic stop was conducted on the listed vehicle and the driver was identified as Aguilar. While making contact with Aguilar, officers could smell a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from him. Aguilar was placed into custody for driving while intoxicated after failing field sobriety tests.

Officers searched Aguilar and discovered a Texas identification card that had not been issued by the state. Aguilar advised officers that the identification card was a fake used to gain employment in the United States. Aguilar was charged and arrested accordingly and transported to the ECLEC.

41-year-old Irick Oron O’Neal

Odessa Police arrested O'Neal on 8-2-15 at approximately 2319 hours for Burglary of a Habitation "2nd Degree Felony" and Driving While License Invalid with Prior Convictions "Class B Misdemeanor". Officers responded to the 1000 block of West Monahans in reference to a burglary in progress.

Dispatch advised the suspect's vehicle was a white sedan. While officers were responding, they observed a white Chevrolet Impala turn eastbound onto the 700 block of West Pool Road. A traffic stop was conducted on the listed vehicle and the driver was identified as O'Neal, who was placed into custody for driving while license invalid.

Multiple witnesses reported that they observed a male subject enter a residence in the 1000 block of West Monahans through the back door. The witnesses further advised that when the pointed a flashlight at the male subject, he quickly exited through the front door and fled the scene in a white Chevrolet Impala.

The homeowner of the burglarized residence then arrived on scene and advised that she had been gone for several days and that no one had permission to be in their residence. The witnesses positively identified O'Neal as the same subject who burglarized the residence. O'Neal was charged and arrested accordingly and transported to the ECLEC.

27-year-old Jacob John Jaramillo, Jr.

Odessa Police arrested Jaramillo on 8-2-15 at approximately 2306 hours for Driving While Intoxicated 3rd or More, a 3rd Degree Felony. Officers responded to 3807 East 42nd Street (Taco Bell) in reference to a male subject operating a black 2009 Cadillac passed out in the drive-thru line. Before officers arrived on scene, the driver woke up and left the scene.

Upon arrival in the area, officers located the listed vehicle traveling in the HEB parking lot. A traffic stop was conducted on the listed vehicle and the driver was identified as Jaramillo. While making contact with Jaramillo, officers could smell a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from the vehicle.

Based on the facts and circumstances presented during the investigation, Jaramillo was placed into custody for driving while intoxicated. Investigation revealed that Jaramillo had multiple prior convictions for driving while intoxicated. Jaramillo was charged and arrested accordingly and transported to the ECLEC.

20-year-old Sally Alma Brown

Odessa Police arrested Brown on 8-2-15 at approximately 0005 hours for Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle (Warrant) "State Jail Felony" and Fugitive From Justice. Officers observed a white 1999 Acura traveling eastbound in the 2200 block of East 8th Street with no headlights on when required.

A traffic stop was conducted on the listed vehicle and the passenger was identified as Brown. Investigation revealed Brown was wanted out of Georgia for Theft by Taking Auto. Based on the facts and circumstances presented during the investigation, Brown was charged and arrested accordingly.
