New Mexico State Police Investigating Suspicious Death in Jal

JAL, NM. (KWES) -

A man in Jal, New Mexico is dead after suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

Jal Police responded to a shooting on Tuesday morning around 2:30 on South Second Street.

When they arrived on scene, they found Mathew Lujan, 21, with a gunshot wound.

He was taken to the hospital in Kermit where he later died from his injuries.

It's unclear who pulled the trigger.

New Mexico State Police said they are investigating this as a suspicious death.
