MIDLAND, TX (KWES)
City officials in Midland approved a proposal that is expected to help local organizations and low income housing.
The five year consolidated plan is all part of the city council's investment in the Community Development Block Grant.
The amount approved is about $650,000.
The grant will grow over the next five years to more than $3 million.
Officials tell NewsWest 9, the funds will go to organizations and businesses who applied for it, as well as low income housing and public services for the elderly.
