Man Arrested Following Prowler Call in Odessa

ODESSA, TX (KWES) - One man has been arrested on several charges following a weekend prowler call in Odessa.

Odessa Police tell NewsWest 9, they were called out to the 1400 block of East 13th Street in reference to a prowler.

When officers arrived on the scene, the victim reported to police that they saw a male subject peeping into their daughter's bedroom window.

The victim also reported to police that the suspect was standing on a purple BMX style bicycle that was propped up against the house.

According to the report, when the victim tried to make contact with the suspect, he took off running.

The victim gave police a description of the man and officers later found a man matching the description at Walgreen's and was in possession of a purple BMX bicycle.

Police say the man initially gave a false name to officers and while officers were checking for warrants, the man began running from the officers but was later caught.

An investigation revealed the suspect's name was David Misquez, 21.

Officials say Misquez was wanted out of El Paso for robbery.

Misquez has been charged with robbery (warrant), evading arrest or detention and false identification-fugitive from justice.
