Ice Cream Truck Driver Caught With Drugs

ECTOR COUNTY, TX (KWES) -

One woman is behind bars on several charges after being caught with drugs.

The Ector County Sheriff’s Office tells NewsWest 9 that just before 7:45 p.m. Sunday, a deputy observed a Frosty Treats Ice Cream truck traveling northbound in the 6500 block of Golder with a bent and unreadable rear license plate.

Deputies say a traffic stop was conducted at the intersection of 69th and Russell and the driver of the truck was identified as Christina Goodwin, 43.

According to the report, a warrant check on Goodwin came back with warrants for motion to revoke probation (forgery) and for forgery.

Goodwin was taken into custody and gave deputies permission to search the truck.

Deputies later found an eyeglass case belonging to Goodwin with a substance believed to be methamphetamine.

Goodwin has been charged with motion to revoke probation (forgery), forgery and possession of a controlled substance.
