ODESSA, TX (KWES) - One mother is facing charges of endangering a child after leaving her toddler in a hot vehicle.
Odessa Police tell NewsWest 9, they were called out to the 800 block of Tower in reference to a check welfare of a child on Friday.
When officers arrived on the scene, they saw a black 2011 Nissan Armada parked in the parking lot left unattended.
According to police, when they looked inside the vehicle they saw a one year old female sitting in the front seat unsupervised with sweat soaked hair and crying.
Police say the temperature outside at the time of the incident was 102 degrees.
According to the report, the person who notified police said she saw the toddler inside the vehicle and that no one came and checked on the toddler.
