MIDLAND, TX (KWES) - Employees of Southwest 66 Credit Union put in a little sweat equity for Habitat for Humanity Saturday.
They were out Saturday morning and afternoon building a home for a local low income family in need.
These nearly 1,200 square foot homes will be sold at cost to partner families with a zero-percent interest, 25 year mortgage.
"At Southwest 66 Credit Union, we do what we like to call "sweat equity" where we give back to the community with sweat," said CFO of Southwest 66, Shawna Orona. "We donate for things like Habitat for Humanity and help them build houses, paint houses, whatever they need us to do."
This is a weekly project for Habitat who invites employees from many local companies out to help.
