ODESSA, TX (KWES) - One man is behind bars after an early morning incident in Odessa.
Odessa Police tell NewsWest 9, they were notified by DPS officials about a 2008 Toyota Tundra had been involved in an aggravated robbery in Monahans and the vehicle had a burn mark on the passenger side of the truck.
Police say they later located the vehicle in the parking lot of Walmart East.
According to the report, officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop but the vehicle immediately exited the parking lot, traveled northbound onto JBS Parkway and lost control near JBS Parkway and Loop 338.
Officials say the driver then got out of the vehicle and led police on a foot chase before being caught in a field.
The suspect, later identified as Ian Stuck, 26, began to struggle with the officers while being escorted back to the patrol vehicle. He was later carried back to the vehicle following the struggle.
Officers later found Stuck to be in possession of a Ruger LCP .380 and that Stuck was a convicted felon.
Stuck was later arrested and charged with evading in a motor vehicle, evading on foot, unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon and resisting arrest.
