Midland Man Accused of Pulling Knife on Officer

MIDLAND, TX (KWES) -

A Midland man is accused of pulling a knife out on an officer.

According to the affidavit, police spotted 54-year-old Freddie Ribera staggering in the street with a beer in his hand.

When officers confronted him, they say he pulled a knife out.

The officer pulled his gun out and told Ribera to drop the knife.

The report says Ribera kept the knife in his hand and began yelling at the officer.

Police say Ribera took a step forward and that's when the officer extended his gun.

Ribera turned away, put the knife up and walked away.

He was told to get on the ground but he refused.

The report says that's when the officer kicked Ribera and arrested him.
