Flooded Jeeps for Flood Victims

Flooded Jeeps for Flood Victims

ODESSA, TX (KWES) - The deadly flooding in Kentucky has caught the attention of an Odessa group.

Sponsored by the Rock Hard Jeep Club, "Flooded Jeeps for Flood Victims" set up Saturday at the Walgreen's on 42nd and Grandview to collect items for the victims.

Organizers were hoping to fill the jeeps with everything from toothbrushes, razors, towels and money donations.

"We love to help the community," said Andrew Talley with Rock Hard Jeep Club. "We've got 60 members here in Odessa and we've got other chapters around. We just like to get out and hang out together, do a little off-roading and help any sort of community causes we can help."

The Rock Hard Jeep Club began in McCamey and started a chapter in Odessa. Their next fundraiser, on August 1st will help raise money for the Odessa Firefighters visiting the 9-11 Stair Climb in New York.
