MIDLAND, TX (KWES) - Parsley Energy employees joined Habitat for Humanity Saturday morning in building homes for low-income families.
Habitat builds affordable homes with the help of volunteers like those from Parsley Energy.
These nearly 1,200 square foot homes will be sold at cost to partner families with a zero percent interest, 25-year mortgage.
This is a weekly project for Habitat who invites employees from many local companies to help out.
"We had Parsley Energy out," said Rico Ramirez, Construction Assistant with Habitat for Humanity. "About every weekend we have anywhere from nine to 20 individuals come out from local companies. They help out by either framing work, painting, calking, puttying, tile work, doorknobs, and start to finish, we try to get everything done as fast as possible."
