Man Arrested on Deadly Conduct Charges in Big Spring

BIG SPRING, TX (KWES) -

One man has been arrested on deadly conduct charges following an incident on Monday morning.

Big Spring Police tell NewsWest 9, they were called out to the 2000 block of South Monticello just before 9:15 a.m. in reference to shots fired.

When officers arrived on the scene, they learned that a man had fired at least one shot and went into his home in the 1300 block of Barnes Street.

Officials say that’s when a female left the home on Barnes Street to go to a relative’s house on Monticello.

According to police, that’s when the male subject fired a shot at the relative’s house on Monticello then went back to his home on Barnes Street.

Police later established a perimeter around the home of Richard Anderson, 48, and after about two hours, Anderson came out and was taken into custody.

At least three weapons were found inside Anderson’s home, according to police.

Police believe the first shot fired at his home was in reference to a domestic dispute.

Anderson has been charged with deadly conduct.
