Man Escapes From Custody at Ector County Courthouse

ODESSA, TX (KWES) - Officials are looking for a man who ran from the Ector County Courthouse on Wednesday morning.

The Ector County Sheriff's Office tells NewsWest 9, they're looking for Adam Lloyd Cooper, 35.

We're told Cooper was in court appearing before Judge Trotter regarding two outstanding warrants for failure to appear and going off bond.

According to a press release, after sentencing by the judge, courthouse security escorted Cooper downstairs to the security office.

Cooper was then was handcuffed to a seat in the office but somehow managed to slip out of the handcuffs and ran out of the office.

A foot pursuit by officers began but Cooper got away.

Cooper was last seen running northbound from the courthouse and was wearing a red t-shirt and khaki shorts.
