HOBBS, NM (KWES)
A Hobbs mother and her three children are counting their blessings.
That’s after a Good Samaritan helped them escape from a car fire.
According to the Hobbs News Sun, Monica Sanchez was driving home Wednesday night from the grocery store when her car began to overheat.
She pulled into a parking lot to let it cool off.
But it did the opposite and burst into flames.
The Good Samaritan, Jeremy Navarrete, was driving by when he saw the fire.
He pulled over and helped Sanchez’s two boys, ages three and five get out, while Sanchez grabbed her 15-month-old.
There's no word on what sparked the flames.
