ODESSA, TX (KWES) - One woman is behind bars following an incident in Odessa.
Odessa Police tell NewsWest 9, they were called out to the 3900 block of Merrill Avenue back in May in reference to a theft.
When officers arrived on the scene, they made contact with an elderly woman who advised her home health provider had taken a gold cardboard box.
The woman stated that the box had a gold nugget watch, two pairs of earrings and two rings.
The health provider was identified as Ana Pompa, 37.
An investigation revealed that Pompa had pawned some of the stolen items and sold the rest because she needed the money.
Pompa admitted to police that she stole the items.
