ODESSA, TX (KWES) - The Ector County Sheriff's Office is investigating following an unattended death on Wednesday night.

Officials tell NewsWest 9, they were called out to Rick's Cabaret before 10:45 p.m.

When deputies arrived on the scene, an ambulance on the scene was already working to take one person to the hospital.

After speaking with witnesses, deputies learned that a verbal disturbance between two Hispanic subjects occurred outside of the club and management asked everyone involved to leave.

According to the report, as one man was attempting to leave the parking lot the other man decided to approach the driver and stuck his arm inside the vehicle.

That's when the driver tried to leave the parking lot again and the vehicle continued out of the parking lot with the subject on the side of his truck.

Deputies say a witness trying to follow the truck found the victim in the road with the truck nowhere to be found.

The victim was taken to Medical Center Hospital where he later died. His identity has not yet been released pending notification of next of kin.

The suspect's truck is described as a 2013-2014 Maroon Dodge Ram Pickup one ton with dual rear axles. We're told the truck has gold striping down the side and over the fender welds and has a "lift kit" to raise the vehicle higher than normal.

Authorities say there were two Hispanic males inside of the vehicle at the time of the incident.

No arrests have been made yet in connection with this case.
