ODESSA, TX (KWES) - Police are investigating following an early morning stabbing in Odessa.
Odessa Police tell NewsWest 9, they were called out to Medical Center Hospital in reference to a stab victim around 3:15 a.m. Wednesday morning.
When officers arrived at the hospital, the victim, Jose Pinon-Arroyo, 22, reported to police that while he was getting gas at Stripes on West University in Ector County, an unknown male stole his gold 2000 Ford Contour and fled the scene.
Pinon-Arroyo told police that he later found his vehicle with the suspect still inside it and followed it into the city limits.
We're told that at some point both vehicles collided near 7th and Washington.
According to the report, when Pinon-Arroyo confronted the suspect, that's when he was stabbed several times.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 5'5" tall, approximately 25 years of age.
