ODESSA, TX (KWES) - One man is behind bars on several charges following a weekend traffic stop in Odessa.
Odessa Police tell NewsWest 9, officers saw a maroon Jeep Grand Cherokee racing down Clements at a high rate of speed.
Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 100 block of West Clements and the driver was identified as Samuel Armour, Jr., 46.
According to the report, officers told Armour to get out of the vehicle to place him into custody for racing.
Armour refused to comply with the officers and rolled up his window.
Police say that as they attempted to assist Armour out of the vehicle, he pulled back and began to push off on officers.
Armour was later tazed after he got out of the vehicle and didn't follow the officer's commands.
We're told officers later found a three year old child in the backseat and marijuana was also found in the center console.
