ODESSA, TX (KWES) - One man is behind bars following an incident in Odessa on Sunday afternoon.
Odessa Police tell NewsWest 9, they were called out to 11th & Kelly in reference to a burglary in progress.
According to the report, an investigation revealed that a male subject broke into a black GMC truck and was stealing items from it.
The owner of the vehicle, along with two other people who were related to the owner, confronted the male subject trying to get the stolen items back from the subject.
That's when police say the subject, later identified as Victor Gonzales, 31, began swinging a jack and jack handle at all three of the victims.
Gonzales later fled the scene but one of the family members was able to catch him near 11th and Lauderdale.
While the family member was attempting to make a citizen's arrest, Gonzales threatened the family member stating that he was going to kill him.
When officers arrived, Gonzales opened up his arms and began to charge at the officer.
The officer tazed Gonzales and he was taken into custody.
The report stated that Gonzales was found to be in possession of a razor blade.
