Hobbs Fire Department Reminding Residents About Firework Restrictions

HOBBS, NM (KWES) -

With July 4th around the corner, the Hobbs Fire Department has some tips and reminders for using fireworks.

Only fireworks bought within the city are allowed and there will be restrictions on what fireworks can be discharged.

Ground and hand-held sparkling and smoking devices will be allowed, like sparklers, fountains and crackling devices.

However, fireworks like spinners, missile-type rockets and roman candles will not be allowed.

If you're caught setting off illegal fireworks, you could face a fine.
