MIDLAND, TX (KWES) - Midland could be a getting an indoor shooting range.
Council members approved making room in the city's zoning code for it.
Back in May, the Planning and Zoning Commission recommended that an indoor shooting range become a permitted use on land that is in the form of a shopping center.
Under the recommendation, officials say developers would need to apply for a specific use permit that would allow City Council to require a certain amount of soundproofing and other accommodations in case there are homes nearby.
