HOBBS, NM (KWES) - A Hobbs mother was hauled off to jail after she got caught stealing groceries.
Police say 48-year-old Angela Padilla was acting suspicious with her daughter.
According to the criminal complaint, when the two went to the self-checkout, they began to scan items and bag additional items.
Padilla and her daughter began to leave but security stopped them.
It turns out that the two stole more than $500 worth of items.
