MIDLAND, TX (KWES) - One man is recovering and another person is behind bars following an overnight shooting in Midland.
Midland Police tell NewsWest 9, Wesley Allison, 26, has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Officials were called out to the Kent Kwik on Rankin Highway around 1 a.m. Tuesday morning in reference to a gunshot victim.
When officers arrived on the scene, they found a man with a gunshot wound to his back.
The man was taken to Midland Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
According to the report, an investigation revealed that Allison and an acquaintance were involved in a fight with the man in the parking lot.
That's when Allison grabbed a small caliber firearm from his vehicle, shot at the man and fled the scene.
Allison was later caught after being pulled over for driving erratically.
Police are looking for a third person involved in the shooting.
