State Representative Brooks Landgraf was back at home.
He made a stop to speak at the Ector County Republican Women's monthly luncheon on Monday.
Landgraf spoke about Texas' priorities including giving taxpayers money back, border security, education and transportation.
This legislative session was Landgraf's first and one of the biggest bills that passed that he was a part of was open carry.
"This is just an extension of that CHL law so I think, if anything, that public safety is going to benefit from HB 910 and the open carry bill," said Landgraf.
