Man Arrested For Stalking Woman

ODESSA, TX (KWES) -

A man is facing stalking charges following an incident on Friday in Odessa.

Odessa Police tell NewsWest 9, they were called out to the Smoker's Outlet in the 2600 block of North Grandview in reference to a stalker.

Dispatch reported to the officers that Billy Watkins, Jr., 52, was in the parking lot in a white Ford F-250 waiting for a woman.

When officers arrived on the scene, they located the vehicle and saw Watkins inside.

The woman told officers that Watkins had a long history of harassing the woman and that she had filed several police reports with the Ector County Sheriff's Office and one with the Odessa Police Department.

The woman also told police that Watkins came inside of the story to make his presence known, causing the woman to fear for her well-being.

The report also states that in the past Watkins had used his vehicle and attempted to run the woman off the road several times.

Watkins was later arrested and charged with stalking.
