Drugs, Shotgun Found During Traffic Stop

ODESSA, TX (KWES) - Three people are behind bars following a weekend traffic stop in Odessa that ended with drugs and a shotgun being found.

Odessa Police tell NewsWest 9, they saw a white Chevrolet Tahoe run a stop sign at 5th and Allred.

A traffic stop was made and the driver of the vehicle was identified as Alexis Franco, 28. Two other people were in the vehicle, Ryan Hernandez, 21 was in the front passenger seat while Misty Walden, 28, was in the back seat.

According to the report, officers saw Walden reach underneath the back seat multiple times.

Officers searched the vehicle and found a sawed off shotgun under the seat where Walden was sitting and bag of methamphetamine was found in the center console, within reach of Franco and Hernandez.

A second bag of methamphetamine was also found in the back of the vehicle, which weighed over 16 grams.

All total, officers found four bags of methamphetamine, one bag of cocaine and a scale with methamphetamine residue on it.

Walden has been charged with manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance, prohibited weapons and for six outstanding misdemeanor warrants.

Franco and Hernandez were charged with possession of cocaine.
