Andrews Man Killed in Weekend Rollover Accident

ANDREWS COUNTY, TX (KWES) -

An Andrews man is dead following a weekend rollover accident in Andrews County.

The accident happened just before 5 a.m. Sunday morning on U.S. Highway 385, about 12 miles south of the Andrews city limits.

DPS Troopers tell NewsWest 9, a 2005 Dodge Durano, driven by Apolinar Guerra, 24, of Andrews, was traveling northbound on Highway 385 when Guerra failed to negotiate a curve.

That caused the vehicle to enter into the center median and rolled over.

Officials say Guerra was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.

No other vehicles were involved in the accident.
