MIDLAND, TX (KWES) -

The City of Midland will be hosting a public meeting regarding an iconic Midland Park.

City officials are asking citizens to attend and share their memories of the past and any ideas for the future as the City of Midland is looking to renovate Dennis the Menace Park.

The meeting will be held at Elevate Church, 200 Baldwin, on June 18 from 6:30 p.m. until 8 p.m.

Parks and Recreation officials are looking to the public for answers to questions such as: What makes Dennis the Menace Park special? How can we meet the latest safety standards while keeping the park just as special to those who are growing up in Midland today?

Consulting firm Parkhill, Smith and Cooper will be present to share existing ideas on what changes are possible for the park and to receive ideas from residents regarding which direction the renovation should follow moving forward.

For more information please contact Parks and Recreation Manager Laurie Williams at 432-685-7370 or by email at lwilliams@midlandtexas.gov.
