CARLSBAD, NM (KWES) - A Garland, Texas, man is recovering after being shot on Wednesday afternoon in Carlsbad.
The Eddy County Sheriff's Office tells NewsWest 9, they were called out to the area of Illinois Camp and Lake Road just after 4:30 p.m. in reference to an individual who had been shot.
When deputies arrived on the scene, they learned Luis Miguel Acosta, 28, of Garland, Texas, had been shot in the neck.
Acosta was taken to Carlsbad Medical Center and later taken to University Medical Center in Lubbock where he is currently listed in stable condition.
