A suspect involved in a car-pedestrian accident in Big Spring is on the run.
Big Spring Police tell NewsWest 9, the accident happened around 5:45 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of 13th and Young.
According to the report, dispatch informed officers that the vehicle involved in the accident had fled the scene after hitting a young man.
Officials say the young man was taken to Scenic Mountain Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
Further investigation revealed that the young man failed to yield the right of way to the vehicle. However, the driver will be facing charges of failing to stop and render aid.
Officials say the vehicle is described as a black Ford Focus four door with damage to the right front of the vehicle.
