Three Killed, Three Injured in Ward County Accident

WARD COUNTY – Three people are dead and three others are recovering following a two vehicle accident in Ward County.

The accident happened Saturday afternoon just before 5:45 p.m. on State Highway 18, about 2.5 miles south of Grandfalls.

DPS Troopers tell NewsWest 9, 1 2012 Toyota Scion was traveling northbound on Highway 18 when the driver failed to negotiate a curve.

That cause the driver to exit the roadway, go into a side skid and cross the northbound and southbound lanes of traffic on the highway.

The driver of a 2010 Toyota Corolla was traveling southbound as the Scion traveled across the roadway and hit the Corolla.

A passenger in the Scion, Bradley Eric Evans, 41, of Mineral Wells, Texas was killed in the accident. The driver of the Corolla, Jennifer Limon-Aguirre, 24, of Odessa, Texas, and Janiyah Faith Limon, 3, of Odessa, Texas, were also killed in the accident.

The driver of the Scion, Rebecca Leigh Dugas, 37, was critically injured in the accident and taken to Medical Center Hospital. Also, a passenger in the Scion, Jordyan Dugas, 1, of Odessa, Texas, was seriously injured in the accident and taken to University Medical Center in Lubbock.

A passenger in the Corolla, Jett Liam Limon, who is nine months old, was also taken to University Medical Center in Lubbock in critical condition.
