38-year-old Jhametrick Hammond

Odessa Police arrested Hammond on 5-25-15 at approximately 2017 hours for Possession of Cocaine "State Jail Felony" and Driving While Intoxicated 2nd (Warrant) "Class A Misdemeanor". Officers observed a silver Mitsubishi Outlander traveling westbound in the 3100 block of East Highway 80 with an expired registration sticker.

A traffic stop was conducted on the listed vehicle and the driver was identified as Hammond. Investigation revealed Hammond had a warrant for driving while intoxicated 2nd.

Officers searched Hammond and discovered a white powdery substance inside of his front right pocket. The substance tested positive for cocaine. Based on the facts and circumstances presented during the investigation, Hammond was charged and arrested accordingly and transported to the Ector County Law Enforcement Center.

36-year-old Richard Ruiz

Odessa Police arrested Ruiz on 5-26-15 at approximately 1430 hours for a Felony 2 Parole Violation Warrant. While in the 300 block of North Jackson, officers made contact with a male subject who matched the description of a wanted felon. The suspect was identified as Ruiz.

Dispatch advised Ruiz had a second degree felony parole violation warrant out for his arrest. Based on the facts and circumstances presented during the investigation, Ruiz was charged and arrested accordingly and transported to the Ector County Law Enforcement Center.

18-year-old Justin Mata

Odessa Police arrested Mata on 5-23-15 at approximately 0045 hours for Possession of Cocaine "State Jail Felony", Possession of Marijuana "Class B Misdemeanor", and for four outstanding misdemeanor warrants. While patrolling the 1200 block of West 5th Street, officers observed approximately 9 subjects.

All of the subjects began to run away once they observed the marked OPD patrol unit. Three of the subjects were detained, including a male subject, identified as Mata. Officers observed a marijuana cigar behind his right ear. Mata was also found to be in possession of cocaine. Mata was charged and arrested accordingly.

28-year-old Krystal Lee

Odessa Police arrested Lee on 5-26-15 at approximately 2349 hours for Possession of Methamphetamine "State Jail Felony" and Possession of Marijuana "Class B Misdemeanor". While patrolling the 1100 block of North Grandview, officers were flagged down by a citizen in reference to soliciting.

The complainant advised officers that a subject was selling electronics out of a white four door car at convenience stores. Officers observed a vehicle matching the suspect's description, located at University and Grandview in the Seven Eleven parking lot. The driver of the listed vehicle was identified as Lee.
