GAINES COUNTY – A second person has been found guilty of capital murder.

A Gaines County jury found Juan Castillo guilty of capital murder on Friday afternoon.

As a result of the guilty verdict, Castillo received an automatic life sentence without the possibility of parole.

As you may recall, Castillo is one of four people that were charged in connection with the May 2012 murder of Jon Allen and Jay Doyal.

The two men were found dead from apparent gunshot wounds in a home in Gaines County.

One suspect, Desirae Mata, was sentenced to life in prison back in January of 2015 after she ran and was located in Alabama.

Two other men, Bobby Ray Ruiz and Nicomedes Sosa, have not yet gone to trial.
