ODESSA – Water restrictions for the City of Odessa have been lifted.
According to a release from the City of Odessa, “the water supply is considerably more substantial today compared to the spring of 2011 when restrictions were first implemented.”
The release states that Lake Thomas is 73 percent full as compared to 2 percent full back in 2011.
Officials want to remind residents that while the restrictions have been lifted, water nuisance ordinances are in effect. That means that it is illegal to allow water runoff of more than 50 feet from one's property.
