New Fire Chief Named in Hobbs

HOBBS, N.M. - There's a new leader taking over the fire department in Hobbs.

Eric Enriquez is the new Hobbs Fire Chief.

He's no stranger to the area though.

Enriquez has been with the city since 2009 when he was hired as the fire marshal.

Other titles he's held onto in Hobbs includes Fire Marshal Deputy Chief and Director of Community Services.

Before coming to Hobbs, he began his firefighting career in Las Cruces, New Mexico.

He was the fire inspector and investigator there for seven years.
