GAINES COUNTY – A capital murder trial for another suspect involved in a Gaines County murder is scheduled to begin today.
The Gaines County District Attorney tells NewsWest 9, opening statements were scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. in the trial of Juan Castillo.
As you may recall, Castillo is one of four people that were charged in connection with the May 2012 murder of Jon Allen and Jay Doyal.
The two men were found dead from apparent gunshot wounds in a home in Gaines County.
One suspect, Desirae Mata, was sentenced to life in prison back in January of 2015 after she ran and was located in Alabama.
