NEAR LUTHER – Mother Nature brought some severe weather to the Permian Basin on Tuesday afternoon.
The strongest storm near Luther also produced a tornado around 3:45 p.m. Tuesday afternoon.
The National Weather Service reported the tornado touched down for a few minutes but lifted around 3:50 p.m.
A NewsWest 9 viewer, Sunny Davidson, sent in some video of the tornado on the ground.
There have been no reports of damage, however, in the viewers video several power/telephone poles were damaged.
