MIDLAND – One man is dead and another was injured in an overnight homicide in Midland.
Midland Police tell NewsWest 9, they were called out to the 400 block of South Webster Street around 12:30 a.m. after a caller reported to place that two males were being taken to Midland Memorial Hospital with stab wounds.
An investigation revealed that the incident took place in the 2300 block of South Camp Drive.
According to the report, Qualen Blake, 18, suffered a stab wound to the back and was pronounced dead at the hospital after arrival.
Another man, Tevionn Coffield, was stabbed twice in the chest and is currently in stable condition at Midland Memorial Hospital.
Blake's body will be sent to Tarrant County for an autopsy.
The investigation into this case is ongoing.
